I love this story in how it takes that "you need a teacher" Reylo canon and sets it in the golf world. So sexy, with some truly wonderful sexual tension. -

I loved reading this story of 2 people who are polar opposites who fall in love. Ben Solo is a corporate lawyer working for developers in a job he hates. His boss is cruel and amoral. On a whim to forget his misery at work, Ben goes to a new bar and meets a roller derby player called “Daisy Chainsaw”, with whom he falls into a sexual relationship. Daisy's name in real life is Rey, and she is unlike anyone Ben's ever met - she's a mechanical engineering student, rough around the edges and says exactly what she thinks. Soon, they bond over their enjoyment of each other’s company, snarky humour and Bojangles fast food. Their budding feelings for each other is tested when Ben is tasked to work on a gentrification project to demolish the homeless shelter that was home to Rey in the past.
I loved this delightful, fun look at the world of roller derby! The relationship between and Ben & Rey felt genuine; their conflict was nuanced and played out beautifully. The humour, the characters, the atmosphere and the hot love scenes made for a really fun read!

Roisin "Rey" Callahan , daughter of an Irish mobster, marries Beniamino Sollozo, a mob consigliere in an arranged marriage. Rey's own ambition and intelligence makes her resentful of her role as a mob wife, and takes steps to change her life, including attempts to kill her powerful husband. I loved everything about this. The power struggles in the Irish and Italian mafias, the sense of place and setting, and the A+ mutual pining that underlies their whole story. I selfishly want an epilogue.
