Jason slammed the cabinet shut, putting his full weight into it.
Or, rather, he tried to slam the door. Instead, it flew back, then inexplicably slowed, coming to a sedate rest against the frame.
"What in the ever-loving-" Jason cut himself off, sitting back onto his heels, and groaned. "Of course, Bruce Wayne's cabinets can't be allowed to slam. Rich people."
Or: Jason tries to throw a temper tantrum while making soup for Tim, and is thwarted by the invention of slam proof cabinetry.

Soon, almost all of the assassins are subdued, except for one. A tiny shadow of lethal grace. Steel blue eyes stared up at him from underneath a dark hood.
Bruce paused.
That. Is. A. Whole. Child.
He couldn’t be older than 10, eyes sharp and cold, moving with the grace of a seasoned assassin. The child assassin moved into a defensive stance, his weight perfectly distributed, bo staff snapping out. He was calm, there was no tension, no panic at facing off three men way older and heavier than him.

The problem was, he'd panicked and thought, "Oh well, while I'm at it, what would happen if I brought Robin to my house to recover?"

When the second Robin called out for Bruce, sobbing under the downward swing of a crowbar, the third bird was holding his own against the Red Hood, fighting back and breathing steadily all the while. So when Tim says “fine” after drawing in an unwavering lungful of air, Jason knows he’s lying through his goddamn Bristol-perfect teeth."

Drug overdoses have decreased by twenty two percent in adults and seventy nine percent in minors. Homeless minors are ninety two percent less likely to—”
“Kid,” Jason interrupted. “Enough statistics. What the hell is this about?”
Robin slowly lowered the tablet with his powerpoint presentation and looked up at Red Hood.
“You care about Gotham,” Robin summarised. “Gotham needs Batman. Batman is missing and so is Nightwing. We need you to fill in for Batman.”
“You want me to cover Batman’s patrols?” Jason clarified.
“No,” Robin said. “I want you to be Batman.”
Jason bluescreened.
(Or: Batman and Nightwing mysteriously disappear before Red Hood has even started antagonising them, Robin is desperate, Gotham needs Batman, and Red Hood is Batman-Shaped.)

Wherein: he becomes his own vigilante at the age of twelve, befriends the heroes, and sort of saves Gotham along the way.

No one knew who the third Robin was, not even Batman. Why is it, then, that the Waynes so interested in Timothy Drake? And why now, of all times?
OR: The Batfamily have been trying to lure Agent C back into the family ever since he ran away. It's a slow-going process. In the meantime, Damian has latched onto Timothy Drake, and is teaming up with Dick to try and adopt him. Whether he wants to be adopted or not.
