Summary
Peter is great at what he does. As head of Hale, Inc., he has a knack for sniffing out struggling businesses and culling out the weak ones like prey. He doesn't have time for relationships, so when his partner-of-the-week issues an ultimatum on the day he's flying out to close a deal with Argent Corp, Peter calls his bluff and breaks things off.
The problem is that the head of Argent Corp values—well, family values. It leaves Peter in quite a predicament. So, when he runs into a ridiculously mouthy and temptingly beautiful rent boy, Peter hires him to be his plus-one.
It's supposed to be a temporary solution.
Somehow, Peter's heart never gets the memo.

Peter's skilled in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, but the hoodie could hide a weapon that would make him a sitting duck. He rolls down the window and prays he's not about to make the stupidest mistake of his life."Can either of you tell me how to get back onto 405?"
The boy in the red hoodie approaches. As he gets closer, Peter realizes he has incredibly pretty eyes and a sinful-looking mouth.
"Depends," he says. "What's it worth to you?"

Such a gorgeous and evocative story, well-seasoned with mythological nods and a hint of my favored Beauty and the Beast trope. There was so much packed into this world in under 7k and I want to roll around and marinate in its loveliness for a long time.
[excerpt]:
“What is your name?” Derek interrupted his thoughts and Stiles glanced up to meet the blue eyes watching him.“Stiles. They call me Stiles.”
Derek tilted his head at his name, just like everyone else did, but instead of the questions about why or how he was named that way, the wolf just repeated it.
“Stiles.”
The heat on the back of his neck returned and Stiles tossed another fish to Derek to stop thinking about the way his tongue curled around the last ‘s’. He shouldn’t be thinking about things like that, not with a giant wolf.

Summary
There wasn’t anything overtly sexual about the picture, not like the Playboy that Scott once stole from his dad. That Playboy had been exciting because they both knew they shouldn’t have been looking at it. The picture of Peter feels exciting in a wholly different way because it makes something stir inside of Stiles.
And maybe this attraction doesn’t feel all that new, maybe it’s a thought that’s been lurking somewhere inside of him: this thing that has been slowly coalescing inside of him might be starting to solidify and form.
And that form now has the shape of Peter Hale.
OR the one where Derek's Uncle Peter is a Neckz N Throats model, and seeing his cover shot awakens a years long obsession in Stiles.

I have an unhealthy love for the Neckz N Throats -verse, and this was just perfection. Just a lovely exploration of Stiles falling for Peter through the year, bookended by charm and humor and some seriously (SERIOUSLY) hot smut.
[excerpt]:
And that’s when comes face to face with Peter’s Neckz N Throats cover blown up, framed, and hanging in pride of place above Peter’s headboard on the wall above his bed.“So lame, isn’t it?” Derek asks, rolling his eyes in the way that all Hales seem to genetically be able to do when he sees Stiles freeze and stare at the print.
“Uh…” Stiles says.
Derek keeps walking and goes into Peter’s closet to rummage around in there, occasionally mumbling to himself.
The cover shot is black and white, but lit in a way that shines down the side of Peter’s head, which is thrown back to expose the side of his jaw and the clean line down his throat. He’s wearing all leather, his pants slung low and zipped but not buttoned, and it looks like he was in the process of unzipping his jacket when the picture was captured, exposing nothing but a broad, strong chest underneath.
When Derek emerges triumphant holding a pack of fireworks above his head, Stiles still hasn’t moved.
“Dude, what’s wrong––” he cuts himself off and wrinkles his nose. “Ugh! Stiles, really? My uncle?”
