Kara had never really been that interested in sex. She didn’t dislike it or anything, just never really understood what all the fuss was about. Eliza had fondly called her “a late bloomer” which Kara had accepted as the truth, not wanting to face the ideas of what it could be otherwise. The elevator dings just a few floors down and Kara smiles to herself when she hears that recognizable heartbeat, sighing softly when another warning sign of Lena’s impending arrival makes her nostrils flare.
Kara smells her before she sees her, that delicious scent that seems to have been created just for her. Her body reacts even as her mind pleads with certain parts of herself to relax, to play it cool, to mind its manners in front of the person who pays her salary.
The suppressants may help with her own unwanted scent, help to stop her boss from being smothered by Kara’s excitement, but they’re wearing off; her rut too close for even the strongest of medications.
Kara watches as Lena marches out of the elevator, emerald eyes warm when they meet hers in a brief greeting. She stands and grabs her planner, following Lena into her office and, despite the best of intentions, staring at her ass the whole way.
