"Do you wanna go out with me!?" She finally spits out in a rush. Clearly her mouth was working faster than her brain today but the words were out now, no taking them back, and now it was just up to Hunter to-
"Oh, sure! Lemme grab a jacket." Hunter quickly moved to walk past her, making it to the stairs before Willow even registered what he said.
"Wha-" she spun around to follow him, "right now?"
Hunter paused and raised an eyebrow, smiling a little lopsidedly, "Yeah. Didn't you want to?"
Willow's face burned. Was he flirting? What was happening?? He accepted so quickly, how is he so casual about this? she had run a thousand scenarios through her head beforehand and this was never the outcome to any of them.

Summary
Whenever he's with Willow, he feels like a normal teenage boy. Not Caleb. Not the Golden Guard. Not the Emperor's right hand man. Just Hunter, normal teenage boy, doing normal teenage things, like having a scroll and joining a sports team and sneaking out late at night to go see a pretty girl. He's just Hunter, and for the first time in his life, that feels like enough.
"So Willow, what is your type?" Luz asks.
Willow hums, thinking it over. "Cute. Funny. Clever. Likes to read," she says, ticking each quality off on her fingers. Hunter glances up from his book and locks eyes with her, waiting on baited breath.
Willow's smile takes on a fiery determination as she looks directly at him and says, "What was that phrase you used that one time, Luz? Bad but sad boy? Also, face scars are kinda hot."
There's a loud crash from the opposite end of the table, the contents of Hunter's food tray scattered across the floor in one unfortunate slip of his elbow. But Hunter doesn't seem to care. He's far too busy staring at Willow, bits of spaghetti hanging from the curls and cowlicks of his fluffy blond hair, face redder than a bard sigil, eyes wide and hopeful.

Hunter is convinced he's either been cursed or come down with some kind of fatal illness when he starts catching feelings for his new friend Willow.
"Willow is the reason I'm like this!" Hunter growls in frustration.
"What?" Amity blinks in surprise. "What could someone as sweet as Willow have possibly done to you?"
"Well that's the problem, isn't it?" Hunter retorts in a flustered huff, feelings he's been trying to tamper down for weeks spilling out of him in an inelegant rush. "She's just so sweet, and smart, and cool, and funny, and her eyes are like mint sprigs and her hair smells like flowers, and when she smiles she gets these cute little dimples in the corners of her cheeks, and every time I see her, I get this weird little spasm in my chest like I've been electrocuted and my heart starts racing and my skin feels like it's on fire, and it all started happening the day I met her and it's only gotten worse the more we've talked, and I'm kind of freaking out, okay? I don't know what's wrong with me. I don't know what— what's so funny? Why are you laughing?"

Summary
Hunter just got a scroll recently, and (un)fortunately for him, that means that he can text a lot of people who definitely, absolutely are not and never will be his friends. Featuring:
Chapter 1: Luz torments Hunter with memes and teasing about who the picture of Flapjack was really for. The two also learn a few new things about each other.
Chapter 2: Gus shows Hunter some cosmetics tricks to help disguise the constant bags under his eyes, then gives him a shovel talk (aka, he tells Hunter all about human shovels).
Chapter 3: Skara and Hunter vent about how restrictive their caretakers' expectations for them are (with Hunter maybe not quite realizing just how much worse off he is than Skara).
Chapter 4: Viney asks Hunter for advice on how to ask Edric Blight out. Hunter has no idea why he's the one being asked about this and not literally anyone else.
