Sunghoon would probably throw his slippers the moment he left anyway. It hurt, but truth always hurt. Sunoo had lived with many experiences of such hurt, and though this felt different, he knew he would make peace with it one day as how he did with every hurt he buried deep within the crevice of his ribcage.
Maybe that is why he remembers the hollowness within him when he gripped the handles of his suitcases. The front door had already opened for him but he remembers turning around, searching for the trace of a man he came to love, and said his last words to his home.
He remembers that he meant it when he said “I’m sorry I’m not enough” and walked out the door.

Park Jongseong doesn’t expect for this to happen, not at all.
He does remember throwing out a casual “Alright that was hot” when they accidentally walked in on Sunoo and Sunghoon going all out on the couch out of all places, with Sunoo crying for Sunghoon to “Daddy, please, let me come, please”. Jungwon has been acting weird ever since and though he does hope that Jungwon is secretly wanting it to happen to them, he doesn’t really have his bets on that horse just yet.
What did Jongseong safe in his previous life to deserve this gift? A country? A nation? The universe?
