“For proposals obviously.” The stupid midget replied with a raised brow, purposefully slowing down his speech as if Gintoki really was that braindead, making his urge to punch him increasingly worse with each passing second.
“Yeah, to who, smartass?” Gintoki didn’t think Takasugi had a lover, the idea was too weird to even entertain.
“You, who else?”
A beat of silence cascaded throughout the room.
Takasugi blinked at the stunned trio, his face frowning in mild confusion. “What?”
And with just that, Shinpachi’s outraged shrieking and Kagura’s violent destruction of the furniture around her smothered the entire apartment. Gintoki, the person in the centre of it all, could only think of how much he really wanted to lay down.Or Takasugi suddenly proposes and no one knows how to react, least of all Gintoki.

Gintoki is not expecting his former rival/friend/enemy/ally to show up at his door unprompted. Much less looking like a wet puppy, drenched in the evening rain and with a bafflingly apologetic expression on his face, so much so that Gintoki has to blink twice to make sure it really is Takasugi and not someone else wearing his features for nefarious purposes or a shapeshifting Amanto or something equally ridiculous and plausible.
After so many years and all those wasted chances, Gintoki and Takasugi try to get started.
