One of the usual conversation starters. A touch of familiarity alongside allowing Amamiya the potential to lament any woes that plagued him. Bait he usually doesn't give more than a shrug and short answer about how things were fine, but still worth it for the occasions he says more than a scant five words.
This time, though, he softly snorts.
"What's so funny?"
"Oh, it's no problem, really," he assures, shaking his hand in an attempt to placate. "Just… didn't take you for the nicknamin' type, is all. Thought you'd just stick with Rin at most."
Not a single visual cue implies he's kidding in the slightest.
