Summary
At school, Russia and America are bitter enemies. They can't pass each other in the hallway without throwing around some nasty words, and they're the worst part of each other's day.
Online, the two of the bond under pseudonyms in a video game called "The Shiners." America, under the username "get_him_back!" and the alias "Stars," shows a dramatic, cheerful side of himself that Russia in real life never knew. "Rise," or Russia - username "theresvodkainthecloset" - is revealed to be sweet, attentive, and a calm kind of fun unlike the bitchy, sarcastic way he treats America at school. They know everything about each other, except their names, and they're quickly best friends... maybe more? In any case, they fight in real life and patch each other up online, and all seems like it's worth it.
Anonymously, Russia and America provide each other with both perspectives of their fight, and in real life start to argue less due to slowly falling for the other online. But halfway to recovery, "Stars" and "Rise" decide to meet in person, and their double lives are no more. They have to choose: love or fight? Will the merging of online and real life finally fix their relationship, or will it throw everything down the drain?
