“—I’m a cuddler as you can tell.” She finishes.
Oh. I think. So, she knows we were basically tangled into each other this morning. I chew on my bottom lip, my mind about to go into over drive.
“You’re doing that thing.” She tells me.
“Yeah sorry.” I give an awkward laugh. “You cuddle with all your friends, I’m guessing…”
Maddy phones begin to blow up, and she looks at it and roll her eyes while saying, “No. I don’t like sharing beds during sleepovers.” My eyes widen. “I have to go, unfortunately.” She leans over and gives me a hug, “Good night, Rue.”
I pull the pillow Maddy was using and fall into a dream that includes hues of purple and whispers of ocean wave promises.
