“Of course. Why wouldn’t I be?” Cleo sheathed her knife again.
“Hm. I think if the king knew how you get the totally accurate information on the Soup Group, he’d take your head off,” Pearl tapped a finger to her lips, smirking.

Summary
Time between Martyn and Philza mostly consisted of stolen kisses at darkened tables at bars or muffled grunts in abandonded allyways. There had always been something there between them- perhaps their many similarities made for foreplay all on its own- but never something concrete, something either of them cared to really put a finger on or name, not that they saw each other often enough to even talk it through.
