This felt more like the Sumino he remembered, the Sumino he fell in love with. The whole point of this had, of course, been for Takumi's benefit, to make him receptive to everyone's love. “W-Would you say something?” Takumi asks, his hands curling over his head. His fingers feel cold and stiff, difficult to maneuver, but he still manages to make fists, grinding his back teeth. “Whatever you—whatever you or whoever hired you wants with Yugamu, you’re not going to get away with it.”
“...I guess they were out for lunch,” says one of the men who had been speaking earlier. The other makes a sharp hushing noise, and there’s a faint grunt like the dude just got elbowed in the gut. Then, footsteps, and Takumi flinches when he suddenly feels a hand grasp his chin, none-too-gently, jerking his face upwards, for all the good it does him when he’s blindfolded.
“You’re friends with him then?” Takumi’s face is shifted to one side, then the other, as if he’s a mango being sized up for ripeness. “You know that boy is a killer, don’t you?”
Takumi grimaces. “Shut up. You don’t get to moralise to me after chaining me to a wall.”
“He’s got a point,” comes the further voice.
