"… I don't want to kill you." A hateful admission. Hannibal considers this, and finds that he holds the same sentiment.
"Then you won't." He tilts his head, the side of his neck stretching. Exposed. Will swallows and goes to look away, but Hannibal does not allow it. He catches Will's cheek, coaxing him back with a steel-soft hand, and runs his thumb tenderly along his jaw. Will is hot to the touch. Flushed with the blood of a fresh kill. "You won't, because you are a creature of free will. A work of creation steeped in horror and divine beauty… and you are my friend. I have enormous faith in you, Will."
Will confronts Hannibal at a critical moment, revealing some inconvenient truths about each other. What's to be done about that?

Directly following the events of Lifeline, Ronon is feeling pretty useless after Atlantis arrives in New Lantea and is in need of repairs. He goes to check on Rodney, only to find Radek barely able to stand. Rodney is in desperate need of a helping hand while Radek is sent back to the infirmary due to his injury. Maybe Ronon has found the perfect opportunity to learn some science after all.

“Abigail Hobbs killed Nick Boyle.” Will's voice sounded a bit tight.
A beat of silence. “Yes, I know.”
Will gave a jerky nod of his head, then looked down at the carpet beneath his feet.
“Tell me why you know.”
Hannibal clicked his tongue softly, leaning forward against his desk slightly. “I helped her dispose of the body.”
Will lifted his head and slowly stalked closer to him, an angry glare spread across his face now. “Evidently… not well enough.”
The tone of Will’s voice sent a subtle shiver down Hannibal’s spine. My wrathful angel.
“Have you told Jack Crawford?” he asked, keeping his face and tone neutral.
Will shook his head. “No.”
“Why not?”
“Because I was hoping it wasn't true.”

"I was there," Will said, beyond confused at what Jack was saying. "I ate dinner with you."
"So, you've never met them either," Jack said, Will's words seeming to confirm his theory for some reason.
