Kaiser was pretty. Intimidating. His eyelashes caught the light in a way that made his irises glow like a summer lake, and Isagi couldn’t bring himself to look away despite the blush creeping across his face.
“You must be Yoichi.” Kaiser’s voice was smooth and authoritative, with the faint lilt of a German accent.
He blinked at the use of his first name, caught slightly off guard. “I’d prefer if you call me Isagi.”
Kaiser leaned back against the wall, crossing his arms as a derisive grin spread over his face. “Well then, Yoichi,” he purred, amusement dripping off his words as Isagi’s eyes narrowed, “I’m sure we’ll have a very fun year.”
