Summary
You still remember those first few days where you’d get so hungry you didn’t even care if your food tasted good just as long as you could eat it! You remember learning the hard way that overcooked food makes you feel a lot less sick than undercooked food, and that a burned meal is a lot better than no meal at all.
But that was just when you were all alone and in a crisis. Once Siffrin and the rest of the party found you, you had a lot more time to hone in on your skills and get back to cooking delicious meals for the sake of tasting good rather than for survival.
If Siffrin learned to cook by caring more about their meals being edible than their food being tasty, then…

But you can’t just sit on these overwhelmingly soft and mushy feelings alone. At best you’ll get distracted in conversation and zone out in places you don’t mean to, but at worst someone could get very, very hurt in battle if you’re not paying enough attention.
