Summary
Chen Jinyang knew that her best friend was the type of woman who made guys fall over and roll around for her. Tong Yao has always been cute, dense, clueless, competent, and fiercely loyal. Traits that endeared her to everyone, most of all Jinyang herself. After she broke up with Jian Yang, Jinyang made a point to spoil her silly with material things so she’d be too distracted to get into another relationship.
Then came Lu Sicheng, who not only fell over and rolled around for her sister but was also insanely competitive over Tong Yao’s time and attention. He also seemed hell-bent on one-upping Jinyang’s attempts to spoil Tong Yao.
Luckily, she’s the boss of the only other human Chessman likes, and she’s going to make it count. Hierophant is just in it for the ride and the chance to tick Chessman off.
