Yeonjun’s chest aches a little, but he tries not to let it show, instead opting for a more annoyed reaction.
“Sorry,” he starts, a bit miffed, “I’ve only had her for two weeks, she wasn’t really planned, was she?”
A small smile crawls up the sides of Soobin face, and Yeonjun berates the loser side of him that’s embarrassingly charmed.

Beomgyu shrugs, looking unbothered by the older boy’s romantic woes. “Well, this is the perfect time to find someone, Junnie. Love is in the air! You just need to find someone to snuggle up with this holiday season. That’s the Christmas spirit!”
Yeonjun huffs out a cynical laugh. “Yeah, I’ll be sure to ask Santa Claus for a boyfriend this year, Gyu.”
“Hyung! Didn’t you hear?” Beomgyu asks, practically vibrating with excitement, “Santa’s Village just officially opened next to the food court! You could totally ask Santa for a boyfriend!”
Maybe he should go over there and ask Santa for a boyfriend this year. Why not? He might give whatever old man pretending to be Santa a heart attack, but Yeonjun is willing to take that risk. This might be exactly what Yeonjun needs to get back into the holiday spirit.

Soobin is running on three hours of sleep and has just been in direct contact with Choi Yeonjun for fifteen minutes. It’s enough to turn any man evil. He reaches out and tucks Yeonjun’s faded orange hair behind one ear, touch lingering. “Today is not the day, hyung.”
(Or, a week before New Year’s, Soobin lets himself fall in love.)

It’s all the goddamn shirt’s fault. It’s all on the fucking shirt. Soobin is going to burn it. (No, he’s not. He’s going to fold it and tuck it back into Yeonjun’s closet because that’s what he does. He looks after Yeonjun and makes sure there’s always a home to return to.)
But it’s still the fucking shirt. It’s just a plain white T-shirt that has three cats on the front. Soobin wants to say it’s four sizes too big on Yeonjun, but of course he knows the truth. It’s just one size too big but hangs over Yeonjun’s body like a dress. Soobin is having some seriously non-Kosher thoughts right now and oops, Yeonjun’s still waiting for an answer.
“You’re wearing my shirt,” Soobin blurts out.
(Or, Yeonjun wears Soobin’s shirt. Everything goes according to plan, for once.)
