Fushiguro Toji, a sorcerer-killer, slaughters the Gojo clan, and now Satoru is the only one left. Megumi is an independent special grade sorcerer. His father wants him dead just as much as the Gojo kid, so Megumi does the only thing that feels right - take the sole Gojo survivor under his wing and make sure his father doesn't get to any of them. And he’d survived that. The people of Berk were tough, worn and weathered and rooted down into the earth like the mountain against whose base they had settled.
But Stoick wasn’t so certain anymore that they could survive much longer. Hiccup was gone, but the village still skirted disaster; Astrid was his heir, but the Berk she was inheriting was char and charcoal.
After Hiccup went missing Stoick's certainty in victory against dragons disappeared too. A mysterious Dragon Master offers hope, but hope is a man with a Night Fury for a shadow and a power that brought the tyrant who last bore that title to his knees.

Sighing, Morax leaned forward, his breath hot on the anemo archon’s neck. “There will be a yaksha general here at all times as well as either I, Guizhong, or one of the adepti. The only thing that can harm the child are nightmares, so we will do what we can to bring them sweet dreams.”
Barbatos was quiet for a long time after that, letting Morax straighten pins and remove broken quills. A few of the nicer ones he set aside to be turned into writing instruments. It was when he was brushing off stray down and flakes of skin did the other speak, just as quiet as before.
“Okay.”
___The middle of the Archon War, which monsters and scheming backstabbing gods in every corner of the continent, was not the best time and place to let a child enter the world. Barbatos and Morax find this out the hard way.
AKA Barbatos and Morax are Xiao's biological parents and canon events still happen.

Anakin, a major Rebel leader and one of the most powerful fire magicians to ever live, has been captured by Palpatine. He wants him to fight in his arena against all sorts of "experiments" devised by Palpatine's favoured scientist, Doctor Cylo. Nothing could possibly make Anakin agree... except the promise that his twins are alive, and he'll see them again if he cooperates.
But life in that arena is complicated. Cylo's "experiments" have agendas of their own, and soon enough Anakin is caught between a rock and a hard place with a coup he could never support, against a man he could never protect.
Now he has one aim: get the twins, and get out. If only it was that simple.
