It takes Tommy a second but he realises that Klaus’ email is in fact a forwarded one – the original one, from a careflairforbes, is handily and politely laid out in an excel spreadsheet with photos of requested items, a live web link to where they can be purchased, the desired colour scheme, and price all contained in neat little boxes. As he reads, Klaus’ annotations can be easily surmised into one overarching theme. What Caroline wants, Caroline gets.

If it were any other time, Merlin would lose his temper at the accusation. “You know little about your kingdom, Arthur, and there are things I would have had you know in the coming year that you will learn today. I will not speak now, save this,” he meets his lord’s eyes, determined to speak as truly as he can, “I am your servant, and will always be so, and am now even through this. If you have ever trusted me, trust me now.”
