The day both drags and flies by. Filing nails, glancing at patient files she should be filing, and flipping through magazines. A whole lot of nothing, waiting for the workday to end. Nothing ever happens in Moralton's hospital. Not that nothing happens in Moralton, but nothing cool ever happens. It's all either gross, or boring.

Summary
Homelander found himself fighting against it, despite the sweet sensation of serenity. The rate at which he was lulled into a mild trance was almost alarming. He was losing control, eyelids growing heavier by the minute the more he took it all in. For the first time in years, he felt truly relaxed. His mind was entirely blank, Hughie’s soft voice neutralising the venomous thoughts that constantly poisoned his mind. He never would have thought something so simple would give him comfort.
tldr: Homelander discovers Hughie's ASMR channel and becomes obsessed.

Summary
Homelander didn’t really consider himself a sadistic person. He would usually grace people with a quick death, and fantasies of inflicting pain had been few and far between lately. Black Noir’s lust for killing had always felt a bit uncouth to Homelander; his satisfaction always came from the terror, the dread, the moments leading up to the execution.
