Summary
Ben and Harley Campbell live ordinary lives for Prairie Kind. Their mom died young in a house fire and poor dad bit it in a ditch right off the main road. Ben works at the local bar, haggles, plays the drunks in games of poker, and makes sure his brother Harley doesn’t end up like him. He doesn’t know which “him” he means yet, himself or Henry.
Harley wants to get out of the Prairie, he hasn’t told Ben. He’s never going to. Harley’s main job, as far as Ben’s concerned, is to get good grades in school, meet a nice person, and live until he’s old. Preferably near home.
Harley wants to make a name for himself. Meet an Angel, travel the country, cross the seas, you name it, he wants it. Anything to get him out.
No one in the Prairie has ever met an Angel. Not until a strange man weary and worn comes in search of God. The old tan trench coat, backwards tie, and dark shadow that follows him seems to turn the heads of all but two.
...
Dean and Sam Winchester have seemingly been reincarnated. The only hold up is that this doesn’t appear to be the first time.Series

Summary
Sometime in the future Angels have fully integrated into human society due to the “Apocalypse.” Dean and Sam Winchester died during the oncoming war with Angels in 2009. Michael and Lucifer forcefully possessed Sam and Dean leading to their deaths, and the two archangels were destroyed and any remnants were cast into the cage. Castiel is devastated and has become an outcast for the rest of eternity. He did not fall, but has disgraced his brothers and sisters as if it were so. Earth's structure has greatly changed, whether from actual geological reasons or angelic interference, no one knows why. Angels occupy most cities which have integrated cultures from all over the world. In the lands no Angels occupy, they have seemingly reverted back to times of outlaws and the wild west. Castiel roams these "badlands", hoping to hear something, anything. He believes something went wrong and the world is not as it should be. He has not heard anything but Angels and desperate prayers for hundreds of years. Ready to give up all hope, he encounters faces all too familiar and long dead.

Summary
Dean keeps going back.
When he arrives, it's always to blooming flowers and a windmill in the background, not too far from a brook, the sun painting the plains.
He likes it there. He likes to stand in front of the makeshift urn and check that it's still where he put it, switching out the flowers when they wilt. He likes to listen to the sound of birds chirping, insects singing, the faint sound of water trickling in the distance. He likes to turn his face up and feel the sun on his skin, wondering if Cas would do the same if he were here, somehow knowing that he would.
He likes to talk.
There's never a response, but Dean feels the breeze rustle through his hair and watches the flowers bob when bees come to them and stares as the windmill keeps turning, turning, turning. And he imagines that Cas is replying—the windmill is the tilted head, the bobbing flowers are a gentle smile, the breeze is whatever words Dean wants to hear at the time.
Sometimes, it's almost like he's there.

Summary
The briefing was simple: ‘Stand guard over the Michael Sword until the battle is ready to commence. Await further instructions.’
Castiel doesn’t mind working security duty; he was briefed shortly after the initial salvation of the Sword from the pit, and again before taking up his position. He knows what to do. However, it’s easy to forget that the green room isn’t real. Time moves differently there, the space ever-changing to make a prison of mountains, cathedrals, salt flats, orchards, and whatever Castiel was led to believe about Heaven’s greatest weapon—Dean Winchester is something entirely unexpected.

This has to be one of the most beautiful things I've ever read. That ending was not what I expected it to be.

Bookmarker's Notes
I never bookmark anything, this is the first thing I've ever bookmarked and I almost feel obligated to. This series is a work of art. My crops are watered, my skin is clear, my nonexistent wig is snatched. I was dying and this series brought me back to life. Thank you so much.
