Summary
If you were to blink, you would miss it. But at the turn of the next 8-count, Buck swings his sleeve free of his left arm, whipping it around his back and quickly wrapping it behind Eddie’s, narrowly missing innocent party guests. He’s swift in retrieving it on the other side of Eddie’s body, using it as leverage to pull him closer to the edge of the couch, and to pull himself squarely in front of his best friend.
Oh fuck.
If just watching and barely touching Buck fostered heat inside him, this act overwhelmed him in flames. The partiers cheered and hollered louder, drawing a bit of a crowd, but all Eddie could hear was his heart rapidly thumping in his chest.
Buck held his jacket tight, still using the leverage to lower his body in rhythmic drops of his hips, and bends of his knees, until he was swaying at eye level with his Eddie.
This is friendly, right? Neither one was fully convinced.
OR: Eddie laments over unrequited love as they throw Chim's bachelor party. A game of Never Have I Ever inspires Buck to give Eddie a lapdance, kicking up every emotion Eddie fought to conceal, and changing the trajectory of their friendship forever.

Summary
Eddie flinches back without meaning, afraid of the tailspin Buck’s touch might induce. Buck’s face falls, dejected, and Eddie speaks hastily in damage control. “I’m in heat,” he gets straight to the point. “I don’t know—I’ve been so stressed out lately—and today, when you—fuck, I feel so stupid and embarrassed but I’m—I’m in heat, Buck. Right now.”
Buck blinks twice, mouth pressed in a thin line and his brow furrowed, until all of a sudden it dawns on him. “Wait,” he says, throwing his hands up, palms out, between them, “right now?!”
*
After stress throws off his cycle, Eddie goes into heat unexpectedly. He and Buck have no choice but to navigate the circumstances, and perhaps revisit some questions left previously unanswered.

Summary
“So,” Buck says, head spinning. He’s really feeling the alcohol now. They definitely should have eaten something before drinking. “No women.”
Eddie fumbles as he sets the bottle down on his bedside table. “No women.”
“What about men?” Buck blurts, which is—crazy, because again: neither of them are gay.
They’re just two straight guys. Two straight guys in Eddie’s bed, tipsy, and—and Eddie doesn’t want to sleep with women. Which means nothing.
Beside him, Eddie goes preternaturally still. “I would know, if I—you know.”
“Okay.” Buck’s hands twitch at his sides. “I—yeah. Me too.”
Then, very seriously, Eddie turns to look at him. “If I were gay, you would be my first call.”
Warmth blooms in Buck’s chest. Eddie’s so nice to him. “Dude,” he says, touched. “You’d be my first call too.”
Or: a story set in season 2 featuring tequila, Just The Tip, and, finally, a kiss.

Summary
Eddie’s never seen Buck this way, chained up by a body that won’t do as he says. He’s still caressing his fingers through Buck’s hair and across his scalp; feels dampness along the surface of his forehead, takes in the flush of his cheeks and nose, the soft surrender of his slightly open mouth. There’s no real danger present, and Buck will feel fine in a few hours, but right now--right now, he is beautiful and asthenic, and Eddie can’t help but feel privileged.
(You need to settle down a little. or: Eddie poisons Buck, and other acts of radical devotion.)

Summary
This dumb little flat box with a screen gives him far too much access—too many opportunities to act like a fool. He has the sudden urge to chuck it over the railing and listen to it shatter into a billion little pieces on the floor below.
He sort of wants to hurl himself over the railing, too. He could join his stupid, evil phone in a mess of broken glass and bones downstairs, and all his problems would be solved.
He probably should have done that before he sent that damn SOS text.
Really, he should have had his phone privileges revoked ages ago.
Things get a little confusing after Buck and Eddie sext for the first time. Obviously, the only solution is to keep on sexting.
