If she was cold before, the blood in her veins was frozen solid, now. Silco’s face started to drain of colour and her gaze trailed down at the knife embedded into the wood of the desk.
If she looked close, she could see a slight stain on the polished metal.
She felt the metal injector slip from her fingers and clatter to the floor.
“Jinx,” he said, his hands all but locking around her arm. “You…you have to understand. Everything I did, was for Zaun – for you.” She felt tears sting the corners of her eyes.
“You killed him.”
He hesitated.
Jinx ripped herself out of his grip and ran.
Or; Silco, while being interrogated by Jinx about her sister, accidentally lets it slip that he was the one to kill Vander – not her. Jinx, understandably, does not take it well.

For a second, all of them shared the same expression, something resembling a deer in the headlights. Then, another one came running, a little girl with bright blue hair tripping over her bag as she barreled into the pink-haired girl, almost knocking her off her feet and breaking the awkward eye contact she and Jayce were sharing. He glanced down, and inhaled sharply. From the girl’s bag a soft blue glow had caught his eye.

Nico was resilient.
He was ten and ninety. His birth certificate most likely read ‘presumed dead’. There was no one left in the world from his time who would remember him. He didn’t know anything that happened during World War II, only that they lost. Mamma was dead. So was Nonno and Nonna.
Even Bianca.
The river Lethe may have tried to take his memories of a past that Nico had no intention of losing, but nothing could ever take away the devastation he felt as his world crashed around him in this day and age.
(Nico had stubbornness in spades, and children of Hades were well renowned for their bitterness.)

Nico grimaced. Time for some creative obfuscation. “Um, I don’t know.” He shook his head. “My father left when I was really little. Mother would never talk about him. I don’t…” He paused, looked away. “I don’t remember much of my childhood…”
“You’re a runaway, then.” Luke said.
He’s not wrong. It just wasn’t his family he was running away from.

Basically, I wanted a BAMF Nico di Angelo time travel with actual real meaningful changes to the timeline and major ripple effects! Self-indulgent for sure, since I want to redeem all my favourite characters! What if Nico went back in time to the lotus casino, and snuck out just a bit earlier?

This is annoying for several reasons, like the fact that the War is still ongoing, that he has zero friends, and that Ozai is not in jail.

He listens to Dumbledore explain all the things he wishes he knew before, sits in King's Cross, and wonders if he really has to go back. Harry's very, very tired, and he wishes it wasn't so simple: die and move on or go back to a world that you don't know how to survive. Killing Voldemort is swell and all, but he's not much looking forward to everything after that. To grieving, growing, loving, living.
Considering the ticket in his hands, Harry decides that he's tired of going along with decisions other people make for him. This is his party, his train station, his choice. Why not make it a happier one? One that makes everything so far worth living through. He rubs at the ticket and watches it change with satisfaction. Hogwarts to Godric's Hollow, October 31st, 1981. King's Cross Station, one-way ticket.
And because he's Harry Potter, he does the unthinkable. He gives the ticket to his godfather.
In which Sirius Black wakes up in 1981, nothing makes sense, and magic can make the impossible possible.
