Summary
“You wanna do something fun?” Alex turns to Elowen.
“Depends. Your definition of fun, or mine?” Elowen replies.
Alex chuckles. Elowen hated to admit it, but her laughter was actually quite pleasant.
“Probably mine. Let’s go.” Alex says, grabbing her arm and pulling her off the couch.

Summary
“Do you know what today’s date is?”
“No.. .but we just played that game against Canada yesterday. Right, Katie?”
Katie’s hand tightened around hers.
“That was almost a year ago.”
Jules frowned. “What? No.”
The doctor asked quietly, “Do you know why you’re here?”
Jules searched her mind and came up empty.
Katie didn’t answer. She just held on tighter, tears falling without a sound.
Jules Holloway remembers loving Katie Emerson.
She just doesn’t remember choosing her.
After a car accident fractures her sense of control, Jules must relearn how to navigate love without certainty, while Katie carries the weight of what Jules once intended and can no longer remember.
This time, Jules has to choose Katie on purpose.

Summary
“I don’t get sick, Ilya.”
It occurred to Ilya, then, that this was another rule Shane had internalized. Logically or not. An admission of defeat wasn’t likely– it would derail something integral to his beliefs. Ilya sighed and shut his eyes, running a hand down his face with a grimace. He had his work cut out for him.
OR: Shane Hollander never gets sick -- until he contracts COVID-19 from his parents. Ilya, predictably, is the best nurse.

Summary
“You didn’t play like that before,” Jules said. “You didn’t switch twice inside the same lane. You didn’t bait me like that.”
“You trained around me,” she continued. “You trained knowing where I would be."
Emerson’s gaze held. Steady. Unapologetic.
“I trained because you knew me. That’s not the same thing,” Emerson said, low. “I almost got past you."
“Almost doesn’t count,” Jules said, sharp, teasing, heated, her mouth hovering over hers.
Katie Emerson doesn’t realize she’s crossed a line until she learns who Jules Holloway really is.
Northfield’s most disciplined defender. Westbridge’s most unpredictable forward. Rivals by name, by school, by everything that’s supposed to keep them on opposite sides of the field.
Jules knows how to read opponents. Emerson refuses to be known. And once they collide, neither of them can pull away.
