Summary
After another unsuccessful attempt to join the Cohort due to a case of the mumps, Isaac Tettares is invited to Canaan House with his cavalier under the watchful eyes of their Fifth House mentors to attempt to achieve Lyctorhood. Without clear instructions on how to do that, the pair plan to use the time wisely by studying with the best of what the Nine Houses have to offer to prepare for next year's recruitment period (in case Lyctorhood doesn't pan out). And, of course, get a good look around the spooky, abandoned, possibly haunted castle they're in, if they can sneak away from their guardian's watch.
Including: two children desperate to prove they aren't just children, goth kids losing their minds at the two bone nuns who might be the coolest people to ever live, Pent/Quinn parenting, and are they even awful codependent goths best friends intended to spend their lives together since birth if they aren't a little in love in an embarrassing teen way? (Or, missing scenes from Canaan House, with a Twist)

Ilya is sipping a cappuccino and watching Shane do very perverted yoga when he realizes that he doesn’t want to die.
It’s a dumb series of thoughts. He sees Shane bend over, neatly folding himself into a hunchback as his hands flatten by his feet, and Ilya thinks, I bet he’s going to love it when we’re old and grey and he can outrace me with my stupid hip replacement. And then he realizes that not only does he anticipate being old and grey enough to need a hip replacement, but that he actually wants to get there.

Summary
The Swiss National League doesn’t care about the legendary Hollander-Rozanov rivalry. When the MLH can’t negotiate with the Hockey Players’ Union in time to prevent a hockey lockout at the start of the 2015 season, the Zürich Lions jump at the chance to sign both Shane and Ilya to short-term contracts. For four months in Switzerland, they share a team, a line, a house, and a bed.
Then the lockout ends in January, and it’s time to go back. Back to different countries, cities, lives. Beds.
Reentry is harder than expected.

Needless to say, he scored 20 points lower on the next midterm.
In which popular hockey fuckboy Ilya Rozanov falls madly in love with the university's golden boy Shane Hollander. Somehow, they go from being the talk on campus to becoming that couple.
Alternatively, my take on the Jock!Ilya x Nerd!Shane trope bc it is desperately underrepresented.
