    Summary

He has roughly fifteen minutes of soccer left.

He could just sit here and watch the game like a normal person.

    Or.

“It’s actually been kind of a rough year for them,” he says, letting his voice drop a little. Sun Hat Lady immediately leans in closer. “Like, they almost didn’t make it.”

“Oh no,” she breathes. “Oh, honey.”

“Yeah, it was… I mean, I don’t want to get into it.” He absolutely wants to get into it. “But basically, Theo— my little brother, number seven, the one who keeps—”

A whistle blows. Theo’s committed another foul. This one might actually be assault — Chris isn’t a legal expert but Theo basically used that kid as a speed bump.

“—doing that. So, Theo wasn’t planned. And when my dad, the blonde one, told my other dad, it was like…” Chris exhales wearily, having seen too much. “They were struggling. Communication issues. You know how it is.”

Sun Hat Lady nods gravely. She knows how it is.

    Or,
Sometimes you have to make up a story and involve some soccer moms to get your stupid dad and his stupid best friend to kiss.

    Summary

"You're lying. Something happened," Eddie accuses, and because he's a total smug dick, his delight becomes more palpable with every word. So damn enthusiastic to put Buck through his twisted humiliation ritual. His own best friend. "I'm right. You're blushing," he beams, canines on display, ripe and ready to tear through Buck's jugular.

    "I'm not blushing."

"No, for sure," Eddie drones. He simmers down and stares at Buck for a few seconds, happy as a clam and twice as infuriating; then adds, "You know, the church taught me that lying is a sin."

So is lust, Buck thinks to himself. Out loud though, he just grits his teeth and says, "I'm agnostic."

Or: "You couldn't jerk that information out of me."

“Hey, Buck?” Christopher says. “How do you know you’re not in love with my dad?”

Buck freezes. A full body clench. “Uh,” he says. “Could you - - I think I - - sorry,” he laughs uncomfortably. “Could you repeat the question?”

“I asked Dad, but now I’m more confused. And you date men, right? But you don’t date Dad. So how do you know you don’t want to date Dad?”

Or, Christopher has some questions. He asks the two worst possible people.

    “Um. He’s.. well — he has a list. An…agenda.”

    “An agenda?”

    “Yes. Like, you know. It’s a - - it’s a gay agenda,” Buck winces.

“Great. Okay. So, my son is queer-eyeing me?”

“I believe that is what’s about to happen, yes.”

    “Wonderful.”

Or, Christoper hyper-fixates on Queer Eye and takes it out on his freshly gay father. Buck's there, too.

    centaurs ✅

[picture] The middle of the Ottawa-Buffalo game. In front of a net, Ilya Rozanov is on one knee on the ice, flanked by two Buffalo players, stick outstretched toward Shane Hollander who has the puck on his stick.

    CENS WIN

    OTT 5 FINAL 1 BUF

The post-game press line, Ilya Rozanov sweaty and shirtless, a mic held in front of his face.

ESPN reporter: Ilya, what an amazing assist in the second period power play. You were literally swiveling on one knee avoiding two defensemen, and sliding the puck to Hollander to score.

Rozanov (grinning): Well, sometimes you have to go down on one knee for your man, you know.

[Caption] Married life #Cens style: scoring goals with your husband!

Or: During Shane's first season in Ottawa, Ilya keeps breaking the internet with his interviews and shenanigans. The internet, predictably, keeps losing its shit.
