Summary
Kageyama Tobio is a technical genius in the art of beverage crafting. Tasked one day with moving his shifts to the morning to train their newest barista, he was hesitant to accept. But with the wish of change burning at the back of his mind, maybe this would spark a much needed transformation in his usual day to day life.
What he wasn't prepared for was the fact that his new coworker was beyond talkative, full of life, and over all quite terrible at the job. How was he going to survive the next two months?

Summary
So, yeah, Kageyama’s a jerk, but this is worse. Hinata prefers Kageyama being a jerk to whatever this is, this—cold-shoulder business where Kageyama barely talks to Hinata, and, apparently, can’t stand even being touched by him.
Hinata thinks it can’t get worse, but then Kageyama starts avoiding him. It’s obvious, because the two of them are attached at the hip and spend more time with one another at school than they do without one another. Kageyama stops eating lunch with him, stops racing him to the gym, stops walking home with him. It’s enough that he gets weird looks from the rest of the team, enough that even Tsukishima seems to know not to comment on whatever it is.
Hinata wants to know why. He doesn’t think he did anything in particular, except maybe when he stole Kageyama’s lunch a few weeks ago, but that’s par for the course. Even if that’s it, he can just buy Kageyama a new lunch in return or something—he just wants Kageyama to stop treating him like this, stop making his stomach churn with anxiety and his chest wrench with how empty it is.

“Or what about Ushijima?”
That catches Kiyoomi’s attention, and he stops in the middle of the street to turn around and scowl at Atsumu. “What about Ushijima?”
Atsumu must tilt his head back to smirk up at Kiyoomi from beneath the visor of his cap. “He’s not workin’ on quicks. You’d be a step ahead of him if ya did. He might even raise an eyebrow in surprise or somethin’ equally as scandalous.”
Kiyoomi stares at him, narrows his gaze as he scrutinises Atsumu’s face, the challenge in the upturned corners of his lips. “Are you attempting to manipulate me, Miya?” he asks.
“I dunno. Is it workin’?”
“Kind of.”
“Then yeah, I guess.”

When Kiyoomi and Atsumu accidentally pull off a minus-tempo quick during practice, Atsumu convinces Kiyoomi to practice it for the new season.
