Summary
Sokovia was gone, and with it, Pietro went, too. Was she supposed to feel better knowing that he died to protect others? Did knowing he sacrificed himself somehow absolve all the guilt and grief? No, but Tony Stark seemed to think it should. His lack of patience—of empathy—infuriated Wanda. She didn’t understand how someone could be so cruel.
--
It’s Peter’s fault Uncle Ben died. He’d run off after a fight about Peter’s behavior at school and Ben went looking. Ben got shot by a mugger that he hadn’t stopped. Aunt May died because he’d been stupid. He’d been reckless, crossing into Manhattan as Spider-Man—hadn’t been close when the crash happened. If he’d been there, he’d have heard it. He’d have gotten May out. Things would’ve been okay.

He looked worse than Natasha imagined. God, he looked way worse than she ever imagined. Spider-Man was a skinny kid. A young, helpless kid.

or, Peter is homeless after Aunt May dies and a series of less-than-ideal foster homes. Wanda leaves the Avengers Compound because she'd rather do anything else before living off Stark's blood money. Somewhere in the middle, Natasha is threatening Clint about being called 'maternal'.Series

***Hiatus until I am back in the country***
Six months after the death of Donovan Desmond, Twilight was extracted from the Forger family.
WISE called it a “shift in mission focus”.
Loid Forger called it nothing because Loid Forger was dead, lost to a tragic accident on Anya’s tenth birthday.Another strategic exit. No input, no body, no goodbye. The only things left to bury were a pair of boots, a tackle box, and a clean story.
A too clean story…
When the mission changed again, there was just one problem: dead men don’t knock at the front door.

Summary
“Who are you?”
Loid met her gaze. Yor wondered what her face was doing, that he was taking so long to answer. “To you, I am Loid Forger.” Why did that hurt more than if he’d struck her? “And to Anya,” he said, some gentleness finally coming into his voice, “I am Loid Forger. Her father. And you are her mother.” Yor stared at him, now certain her devastation was plain on her face.
When Yor learns of a plot to kidnap Anya, she returns home to find Loid handling a gun with expert skill, and Anya already taken. In rallying around Anya after that earth-shattering day, Yor and Twilight face a time of uncertainty where choices are made, long-kept secrets are shared, and precarious trust becomes unassailable intimacy.
