“Fuck!” Daniel’s arousal bleeds into frustration as he feels his orgasm slip away. “What- why’d you stop?” His glasses are all askew, digging painfully into his temple as he tries to focus on Armand. All he sees are unblinking orange eyes before Armand reaches to readjust his frames.
“There,” Armand says, the corner of his mouth curled in that sadistic way that Daniel knows means that he’s in for a long night. “We wouldn’t want them to break now, do we, beloved?”
Fuck the glasses, Daniel thinks. He’s a fucking vampire, it’s not like he even needs them anymore. He’s about to just remove them entirely, when he catches yet another familiar glint in Armand’s eyes, something roguish. Then, it clicks: Armand wants to play.
“Seriously?” Daniel quirks a brow. “The glasses get you going?”
tldr: the glasses stay on during sex. (with a pinch of student/professor fantasies)

“Babe, check this out,” he says as they’re knocking over a Cartier store in the middle of the night. (Armand had a hankering for some jewellery while out on the town, and Daniel is a gentleman, so he picked up a crowbar and obliged.)
Armand saunters over from where he’s been trying on pearls and peers at the engagement rings display case Daniel is beckoning him towards.
“Are we taking any of these?” Daniel asks — nice and smooth, nice and casual.
Armand graces the selection with a fleeting glance, then turns his nose up.
“Too gaudy,” he pronounces dismissively. “I cannot abide the current mania of studding everything with as many tiny gems as possible. Not to mention, these would be most unpleasant to the touch.”
The tape recorder lodged permanently in Daniel’s freshly renovated brain is whirring away, capturing every single word.
Or: Armand rekindles his love of jewellery; Daniel gets ideas.

William got to his feet and turned around, prayer book clutched to his chest. Michael was standing in the center of the chapel, obviously just come from sparring practice. He was still wearing his dented cuirass, a leather pauldron on his right shoulder. The moonlight through the stained-glass windows painted him in blue and gold.
“Forgot to leave your armor behind in the gymnasium?” asked William lightly, skirting around him to set the prayer book back in its tabernacle.
“Something like that,” said Michael. He stepped out of the shaft of light, joining William at the perimeter of the circular room.
William closed the ornate wooden door of the tabernacle and turned to face him. “How did you know I’d be here?”
“I know you,” Michael said simply. I love you, he might as well have said, for the way it sent William’s heart skittering inside his chest.
Michael has been betrothed to the princess since their infancy. But it’s her brother he really wants.

She’s half asleep against Lucas, cheek squished against her shoulder. Lucas meets Mike’s eyes when she sees the look on her face. Knows she sees everything Mike’s feeling right now, always has.
“She only wanted you.” She explains apologetically. Mike’s heart is in her throat, nerves buzzing with the instinct to protect her. To take care of her. At the fact that out of all of their best friends, she was the only one Will wanted to get her home.
