    “Oh my gosh,” Willow breathes - the words running on out before she can stop them, because if she still had any control over her tongue she absolutely wouldn’t dare voice these thoughts aloud - “do you - do you like me?”

    Willow doesn’t even know what she’s expecting. Probably for him to laugh at her a bit meanly, and then taunt her about why someone like him would like someone like her, even a little bit romantically. But instead his face flushes a bright, rose red, all the way up to the pointed tips of his ears.

    “N-no,” he stammers convincingly. “No, I - that would be extremely unprofessional, and, and a conflict of interest, and - ”

    “Oh my gosh,” Willow repeats. Because she really isn’t sure what else to say. Absolutely no words are being summoned right now. No thoughts - head, empty.

    Because he definitely does.

    in which willow searches for a missing friend, almost gets recruited into the emperor’s coven again, and kisses a bad but sad boy. (a take on huntlow in a dark(ish)!hunter au. rest assured, they are still (affectionately) massive dorks.)
