Katsuki exhales sharply, pushing through the awkwardness. "I need a date for that stupid gala. Just someone to show up, smile at my parents, and make sure they quit hounding me." He shrugs like it’s no big deal, even as his pulse kicks up. When the guy just stares at him, Katsuki rushes to sweeten the deal. "I’ll pay you."
OR, Katsuki, being pestered by his parents to bring a date to their annual fundraising gala, lies about dating someone. Insert Izuku, said someone.

Summary
Kacchan slides a very familiar letter across the table to him and asks, “What the fuck is this?”
Izuku really feels like he’s about to explode.
Because that letter is possibly the culmination of the biggest feelings he’s ever had: love, and all of it for Kacchan.
Izuku wrote it at thirteen. When he knew that his best friend since diapers would never return the feelings, but Izuku felt like they were so heavy they needed to be shared.
He wrote the letter, poured his aching, crushing tween heart out onto two and a half pages of college ruled notebook paper, and addressed it in his best calligraphy. To: Kacchan. Izuku remembers his thirteen year old self debating before adding on a little explosion sticker.
Now, at seventeen, he’s debating the pros and cons of jumping out of the nearest window.
OR: Izuku writes Katsuki a love letter. 4 years later, Katsuki receives it. Izuku is still very much in love with him, and Katsuki is very much not.
