Richie tastes like the black coffee he brewed first thing that morning, the same stuff he can’t get enough of, gulping it down all hours of the day. He holds Eddie’s face like it’s something precious and valuable, soft yet firm, like he’s determined to never let go. Eddie snakes his own hands up to wrap his fingers in the short hair that curls just above Richie's neck.
“Eggs are getting cold,” Eddie says when Richie lets him pull back to get a breath in.
“Fuck the eggs,” Richie groans. Fuck the eggs, Eddie wholeheartedly agrees.
