The apartment is cluttered--shared by three 20-somethings trying to make it. Whether they make it—and what they’re trying to make—is subjective. There’s a plethora of ephemera, clutter, KNICKKNACKS, covering nearly every surface. We see STEVE enter from STAGE RIGHT, holding a heavy BOX. He sets the BOX down on a TABLE and begins rummaging. The MUSIC continues to play even as he speaks. He’s dressed casually but is looking intently for something, almost to the point of aggression.]
