    Summary

Jaskier lay there for a long time, hating himself. Usually he was the one who snuck out at first light. Or was chased out. This… this felt shit. Geralt had never been one for grand goodbyes. But usually there was a goodbye, a stern nod at least.
The sun rose as he sulked under the covers. He knew it couldn’t have lasted, of course it wouldn’t. It had been a mistake from the start. Whatever semblance of a home, whatever proximity to companionship he’d had… he had, quite literally, fucked it.
    -
Lambert regretted everything about that night. Every single moment he’d had Aiden beside him but been too afraid to close that gap. He’d crossed the point of no return a long, long time before. Maybe back on that day at the market eight years ago. As he held Aiden’s medallion, clutched against his heart where he’d once held his hand, Lambert knew he’d already had everything he had ever needed and that he’d already lost it forever.
    -
After being cast aside right at the moment it seemed he might finally get everything he'd wanted, Jaskier is taken by the sadistic survivor of one of their most grueling contracts. Subjected to utter brutality, he comes to know the tortured witcher held captive alongside him.

    Summary

Years and years after Kaer Morhen, in the bed of a particularly skilled prostitute, Geralt learned that other things besides injury and stress could trigger his strange mutation. Warmth. Safety. A lovers’ touch. He’d also learned that no matter how good of an actress a lady of the night may be, there were limits to what a human would put up with for the sake of coin.

When Jaskier comes along, the White Wolf already knows to hide his freakish nature as best as he’s able.

It reeked of slaughter, both fresh and old, as soon as he went through the portal and into enemy territory.

Soldiers in black armour immediately tried to take him down so he started Singing, reaching for the dormant power deep within him.

    Summary

Almost of its own volition, Geralt's hand passed across the bard's eyes and twisted into the sign, and when he barked "Axii!", what he really meant was, take all pain from him.

The familiar chime of his medallion was loud in the silence that followed. Jaskier relaxed entirely, his eyes flickering shut, and for one horrible moment Geralt thought he'd killed him.

    ~

There's a strange magic woven through this bard, and Geralt isn't sure how to fix it.

    Summary

Two lonely people bump into one another on the road. It’s doesn’t mean much in the grand scheme of things. The same two lonely people bump into one another in Kaer Morhen. It means a great deal more than either of them is willing to admit.

    “I’m Lambert.”

“Of course you are,” was Jaskier’s immediate response.

Lambert cocked an eyebrow, the one with a long scar running through it. “What’s that supposed to mean?”

“Eskel wouldn’t have acted like he was considering killing me, for one.”

    and

“It’s a salve for your hands.”

“Why would a witcher keep have burn salve meant for humans?” It wasn’t a challenge, but the question wasn’t entirely innocent either. None of Cirilla’s training put her at risk of burns and any remaining pain from Yennefer’s burns from Sodden could be dealt with via her newly returned chaos. This wasn’t something made for either of them being repurposed.

“It wouldn’t,” the man said bluntly. “I found the recipe in a book and made it.” He shrugged lightly, like it was nothing. Like it wasn’t more than anyone had done for Jaskier since Yennefer saved him from the burning hands of another mage. “I’ve got a penchant for alchemy, it should work.”
