When she's upright, Erica asks "Do you want to use your cane or hold onto me?"
"I'll hold onto you," Erica moves to settle side by side with her, guiding her arm to rest across her shoulders and Max begins to laugh. "There's no way you're almost as tall as Lucas."
Erica tries not to let the feeling of sadness settle deep in her stomach at those words, knowing the other girl would never be able to see her clearly ever again but as she pushes the feeling away, she's also reminded of the bickering they'd do on those weekends three years prior when Max first started dating her brother.
She laughs too, "He never thought the day would come either."
Post Volume 2: Erica paints on Max's walking cane during her recovery because the Sinclairs love Max and want her to be happy

“Hey.” Eddie draws a hand over his heart, eyes wide with mock offense. “I put my blood, sweat, and tears into drawing this masterpiece for you, Red.”
“I don’t know if I’d go that far,” Robin says, idly adding spots to a ladybug. “It’s, well. It’s a piece, for sure.”
