Anita held out her hand, face softening, and Greta tried not to feel like a stupid kid as she took it. It was just the beach. She could handle some water. It wasn’t even - it was salt water, and the ocean was huge, and Cissie had taken her shopping and she had a cute swimsuit, a one piece, that she was wearing right now. It was pink and comfy, so basically it was perfect.
And the point of a swimsuit was getting it wet, right?

She sat in her grandfather's rocking chair on the porch, knees pulled to her chest as she looked out at the lawn. It was early, but a few moths were swarming by the porch light and a handful of crickets were warming up for their nightly symphony. She thought of a night in Keystone City, running barefoot and breathless as she chased Cissie through the slightly-overgrown grass, their original goal of showing Kon how to catch fireflies evolving into a night of giggles and squealing and s'mores.
What she wouldn't give to go back there.

Nessie has really loved getting to learn about Diana’s childhood while visiting Themyscira. Getting to be one of the first people outside of Themyscira to visit and meet and learn about the Amazons was amazing, of course, but it was even better to get to see the place where Diana grew up, see the things that made her into the person she is.

Then Diana wore Themysciran battle armor. Then Scott and Barda arrived in the matched formal of two worlds that should have destroyed them. Then Bruce came in a hundred-thousand-dollar tuxedo made of nanoceramic Kevlar that looked like silk.
