    The man is shaking his head and pinching the bridge of his nose and his mouth is pulled taut.

    The man is annoyed.

    Izuku waits. Waits for the man’s face to twist into something hateful, to yell at him, to throw something at him, to grab him, to hit him, to do something.

    He doesn’t. Aizawa-sensei turns away and continues the lesson.

    Izuku releases a breath that’s only barely not a sob.
