Summary
He smelled him before he heard him. The familiar scent of jasmine, always so faint, so tame, now drenching every breath Taekjoo took. Too sweet, too fragrant, like a blossom dripping nectar, blooming into something warmer, sweeter, like honeysuckle.
And then he heard him. Little whimpers. Little ahs and hnngs. He was in pain, it was clear, and despite Taekjoo’s olfactory senses warning him, he was rushing to Taeui’s room to see what was wrong.
But his body knew what was wrong. It reacted on its own. And with just a foot in the door he stopped himself dead and held his breath. The scent had already soaked itself into Taekjoo, filled his head with a haze and his body with a scorching heat. His nails bit into his palm as he focused, calming his pulse, his body, his instinct.
That scent was honey-sweet and rich. Thick in the air. His lungs swam when he breathed.

Taeui, a quiet librarian living in London, is drawn into a dangerous mission when his famous archaeologist brother Jaeui disappears during an excavation in Egypt. Between an ancient curse and dark secrets, Taeui sets off to go find his brother aided by the enigmatic mercenary Rick, whose every word seems to make Taeui burn hotter than the desert sun.
Loosely based on The Mummy Movie from 1999. The general idea is the same but i had to change a lot of characters and the original premise. [It's not a crossover, so i didn't tag The Mummy]
