Megumi is crawling back under the covers already. “Don’t want to. Everything hurts. Leave me alone.” He mutters, his voice muffled. Still, Sukuna is loath to leave him like this. What if it worsens and he’s not here to save him in time? The thought of Megumi powerless and frail, the sight of him right now, flushed and feverish, stirs something within Sukuna that he cannot quite understand.
“You’d better thank me for this, Fushiguro Megumi.” He grumbles.
Sukuna discovers that Megumi is sick, but he has no idea how to care for ailing humans.
He does, however, try his utmost best, because Fushiguro Megumi deserves it.

The futility of Megumi’s plans distilled into desperation, which had him contemplating that name again: Ryoumen Sukuna, the only familiar one here.
But the people spoke of Sukuna in this era with utter terror. There was no air of triumph like in the modern day. Sukuna hadn’t been sealed yet, and the world knew him as the unbeatable, invincible King of Curses. He wasn’t the Sukuna that Megumi knew.

“Am I going to walk outside my practice and see a dead body?” Megumi questions, trying to keep his voice neutral.
He really won’t be able to avoid calling the cops if that happens. Megumi is not about to go to jail for a crime he didn’t commit because Sukuna couldn’t clean up after himself. But Sukuna only lets out a laugh, Megumi pauses his stitches as Sukuna’s stomach rolls from the unexpected movement.
“Not at all, sweetheart,” he says, voice dipping low, “I don’t like mixing business and pleasure.”

When the scent finally stirs Vash from sleep, his whole body goes very cold and very still, a prey animal caught downwind of a predator.
Heart hammering behind his sternum, he slowly turns his head to check the entrance to his bedroom. The door is ajar, a silhouette hulking in the threshold. A single beam of fading sunlight through the blinds illuminates the intruder’s eyes, flashing white like a beast’s. Vash almost wishes it were stranger—it would be easier to get mad. To show his fangs, big like an alpha’s, and scare them off.
But he’d know that scent, even stripped of memory, of identity—his brother’s musk, unusually sweet and suffocating like overripe fruit. It creeps into Vash’s pores and makes him itch. Makes him want to growl and gnash his teeth.
“Nai,” he asks, sitting up carefully, every movement exaggerated. “Are you in rut?”
