Dark curls shoved back off his forehead like he'd done it with wet hands and given up, one already escaping to flop down again. Brown eyes that were currently very wide and aimed, with devastating sincerity, at Scott. Built—under the too-small hoodie—like something off a Soviet gymnastics poster, all that muscle packed onto five-foot-eight of pure disaster, which somehow read boyish instead of intimidating, like a golden retriever that had been to the gym and felt strongly about it. He smelled, faintly, of cedar and black pepper.
He was, in short, exactly Scott's type, head to toe, and Scott resented every inch of it instantly and on principle.

“Uh,” he says, looking up from his screen and feeling his ears go hot, realizing for the first time that this habit of his hasn’t actually come up before until this exact moment.
“What?” Rozanov asks, sounding more amused than anything else. “You are one of the people who does Instagram for food now?”
“No,” Shane says, stalling between answering and finishing his Snap so he can send it to Melissa, “one sec.” He finishes typing out 'Tuna melt. Chips. Pickles. It smells really good. Swiss cheese, I think.' before he looks back to Rozanov, putting his phone facedown on the coffee table. “Just sending it to someone on the staff. She likes knowing what I’m eating.”
He doesn’t know if Melissa likes knowing what he’s eating, per se, but she also seems pleased when he talks about enjoying food for things beyond how many grams of protein it has in it.
“Ah,” Rozanov says, in a tone Shane can’t quite read. “You always send her your food then, this girl?”

Behind Boodram, the rest of the team began to appear. Troy was wearing the Centaurs' official Pride Night hoodie, while Harris paraded around in his classic denim jacket covered in queer pins—and, this time, completed the look with a vibrant cap that screamed 'Move, I’m gay' in colorful letters. Soon after, Wyatt emerged in the hallway wearing a t-shirt that read: 'I support gay rights & wrongs'.
"Where the hell did you find that shirt, Hazy?" Shane asked, curious.
"He has one of those t-shirt printing machines at home," Troy, Bood, Harris, and Ilya answered in unison. Wyatt flashed a proud smile right after.
