Summary
Four years after graduation.
Honestly, Will never thought he’d make it, but he did. He had a boyfriend, college in New York, and was finally healing after the loss of friends and the destruction of the Upside Down. Best of all, Vecna was gone.
So, going back to Hawkins and visiting the Wheelers and the rest of his friends felt like a perfect way to start the summer. He planned on seeing everyone, but most importantly, Mike.
Except, when he opened the Wheeler’s front door, something was wrong. Nobody looked happy or relieved. They looked like they were grieving.
And where was Mike?
Instead of greetings, he was handed a box filled with letters, each one addressed to him in familiar messy handwriting. Along with them was one final message, from Mike.
It all pieced together into a devastating truth; Mike was gone.
Will was determined to fix what had been broken; back to the start of Mike’s seemingly steep fall. 1989, right after graduation.

Summary
I wrote this at like 3:00am based on a dream I had. So.
.Mike was touchy, it was just in his nature.
Maybe that's why, when Mike reached out, hands cupping his own, leaning in close, a murmur of “I miss you, Will. I miss us,” all Will did was squeeze back, the way he always had.
It started off the same as always, something unintentional that Will could brush off, accident touches that slowly grew into something friendly, platonic, normal. The occasional nudge of an elbow to his side, a long look and a hand reaching out to grip his shoulder. Simple. Friendly.
But now?
Now Mike couldn't seem to be able to keep his hands off of him.
It was driving Will crazy.
