Summary
Odin took Loki from her and stared down at the small infant. His son would grow up to serve a very important purpose someday. One that would greatly benefit Asgard and Jotunheim.
A lasting peace between their people. There would be no need for the harsher and more costly methods of conquering in order to bring the Jotunn to heel. No more lives lost on either side. The Frost Giants would be under the leadership of one of their own people, but who would have unquestioning loyalty to Asgard and would ensure that they caused no future harm to any of the Nine Realms.
Finding Loki in that temple was clearly meant for a much greater purpose than merely adopting a child. He was meant for this. That is what the future held. A throne for each of his sons. For the good of Asgard.
In which Odin did not eventually set aside his plans for his adopted son. His love for the child is not enough to sway him from his plans. He is a better king than a parent. The child will serve an important purpose someday and must be ready for it. And Loki finds it even more difficult to grow up under the weight of these unknown expectations.

On the night of September third, 1999, Jason Thomas Wayne disappeared from Gotham Memorial Hospital. Born prematurely just two weeks ago on August sixteenth, the baby had been staying in the NICU until stable enough to go home with his father, billionaire Bruce Wayne. Reports say that it was most likely an inside job, as there was no evidence of tampering with security or personnel. So far there have been few leads into the disappearance, but police have detained a paramedic under allegations of aiding and abetting. Security cameras show him entering and exiting the NICU within the time frame Jason Wayne went missing. So far the police have not released a statement on the matter.
Jason Thomas Wayne was stolen from his crib at two weeks old by a money hungry Willis Todd, who intended to keep the kid until he would "find him" and return him for a reward later. Although, things don't always go to plan...

The Millenium Falcon never reached him, and while his friends narrowly managed to escape, Luke was captured by his father and greatest foe. Trapped on Imperial Centre, burdened by the revelation of his legacy and struggling against the two Sith Lords holding him, will Luke manage to resist the dark side of the Force and restore justice to the galaxy, or will he succumb to the forces of evil?
Basically just another “Vader gets Luke on Bespin” fic, but with a twist.
Something is rotten in the Galactic Empire.
