Harry's life is his work. And through years of working long, exhausting hours in child and family services, Harry's developed some guidelines for himself when it comes to taking children into his home. One, he'll only do it in emergency situations. And two, he won't take them long term.

Harry can't help but draw parallels between himself and the Muggleborn orphan, and despite his best efforts, he grows attached. Taking on the responsibility of caring for a child is a terrifying prospect, though, and Harry's not sure he's up to the challenge.
