But if he stays in the house it will only give him more time to wallow around in self pity and eventually fall asleep on the couch and that is something that he definitely does not feel like doing anymore. It was vindicating at first, back when he thought that this whole thing might only last a couple of months, but as the reality of his new life began to settle in he decided that he cannot spend every waking moment in misery. No matter how tempting it might seem.
Or: Foggy in witness protection, because what do you mean you're adapting "The Devil in Cell Block D" without him?
