There was a pause. “No, honey, Hayden didn’t text you. He knows you can’t look at your phone right now. He texted me this morning.” His mom sounded weird, she was talking slowly.
Shane turned his head back towards her, the pillow shifting and tickling his ears. He opened his eyes, taking in the slightly blurry image he assumed was his mother sitting beside him. “Not Hayden, mom, Lily.” Shane sighed happily before laughing. “Lily is looking for me.”
Or, while high on pain meds Shane reveals he has a boyfriend to his parents. With Ilya unable to visit Shane in the hospital, when is the next time they’ll be able to see each other?
