Summary
He caught up with Geto just as the man started running across a field of daffodils. Satoru put on a burst of speed and tackled Geto around the waist. They went down into the swaying sea of green and yellow and subtle fragrance. They tumbled. Satoru ended up with his back on the ground, looking up at Geto’s pretty face outlined by a clear blue sky.
Hair tickled Satoru’s chin. He smiled. “Are you prepared to see me destroy this entire field?”
Geto flinched. He had such obvious tells. “I can regrow any plant.”
“But it won’t be the same one, will it? I know your kind. You’re so particular about the things in your care.”
“My kind?”
“Deities of the living.”
Geto’s expression shifted at that, in a way that Satoru couldn’t read. “Maybe I’m not very similar to others of ‘my kind’.”
Satoru takes what he wants, and gets more than he bargained for.

Summary
Satoru’s new handler is handsome. Powerful, too—not enough to even aspire to Satoru’s level, but he’s leagues above the schmucks Satoru had to tolerate before. Geto Suguru knows what he’s doing. His technique is nothing to scoff at. He’s knowledgeable, smart, proactive. Gets the job done. And most importantly, he lets Satoru act cute.
They wiped the floor with a special grade cursed spirit earlier today. When Satoru bounded over to Geto and draped himself across his shoulders, Geto didn’t push him off. When Satoru pressed their cheeks together, ignoring the discomfort of having something touch his eye, and said, “I think I deserve ice cream, Suguru”, Geto chuckled indulgently and led the way to an ice cream parlour. When he was putting Satoru back in his—very spacious and well-appointed—cage, Geto said, “You've worked hard today. I’ll come back later with a reward.”
Satoru really can’t be blamed for entertaining ideas.
Satoru is a curse hybrid, a result of careful breeding and a complete lack of ethics. He’s the attack dog of the jujutsu world, the ultimate weapon, fated to fulfill his role, then die. His new handler treating him gently doesn’t change things.

Summary
The doll ends up being ridiculously cute, almost perfectly round and made of soft minky. It’s big, too—big enough that Suguru can barely wrap his arms around it without squishing it. One half of it is entirely black to represent Satoru’s uniform. The spiky hair and blindfold have been lovingly designed and sewn on, along with tiny round hands and feet. Mimiko stitched a mild smile onto doll-Satoru’s face, and somehow, fittingly, it ended up looking smug.
“I love him,” Suguru declares, hugging the doll to his chest and resting his chin on top of it.
“Yeah, that’s kind of the whole problem,” Nanako grouses.
The sad tale of Satoru-chan’s untimely demise.

Summary
Suguru was enjoying a leisurely afternoon on the streets of Heian-kyō, and passed by a small procession of Sugawara clansmen. The tallest of them, with a shock of white hair on his head, turned sharply and stared at Suguru with wide, unnatural eyes. He didn’t notice someone walking into him, but Suguru couldn’t judge. He was similarly dumbfounded. The stranger’s eyes were the blue of Suguru’s dreams.
“Wait!”
Suguru jolted. Was the stranger looking at him? Calling out to him? Reaching towards him? It made no sense.
Another chance in the distant past, too easy to squander.

Summary
To Satoru’s delight, they were in the same class and Satoru decided as soon as he saw the other boy in the classroom that he wanted him as his first friend. He went out of his way to talk to Suguru every day and tried to meet him by chance. He’d go to shower at the same time, go into the kitchen to eat at the same time, and step out of his room when he heard Suguru’s door. Initially, Suguru responded politely and reservedly, seemingly not interested in being friends. But Satoru refused to give up.
—Satoru has a lot of feelings about Suguru. That's just friendship, right? Suguru is his first friend and his best friend. So these feelings and desires are just due to friendship. As Satoru and Suguru go from first years at Jujutsu High to adulthood, they learn to be sorcerers, friends, and how to love each other.
