Cassian glares daggers at him.
"Yeah, that's the one." Melshi confirms, "so you gonna say something to her?"
Cassian sighs, moving to lean against the wall of the ship.
"Say what exactly? Jyn is my friend. Nothing more."
Melshi rolls his eyes. "Yeah, that lie may work with everyone else on base, but not with me. I've known you for years, Andor, and I have never seen you act like this."
Cassian raises his eyebrow at his friend while crossing his arms. "Like what?"
"Like Jyn is the reason you keep going. That she is why you didn't lose hope after your back injury. Or that she's literally the only person who can make you crack a smile, let alone laugh. That you depend on her in a fight even when you constantly worry about her."
"Again, we are just-"
"Don't even try to say the word friends!"

Reze wasn’t an idiot. When it came to being a living weapon, you couldn’t ask for a better teacher than her.
So many worthless things for someone who wanted to be a happy and normal person. If the world had been good and fair Denji would never have to learn those things. He’d never had to meet her at all. If the world was really fair… Reze didn’t know if she’d be living a quiet life, or was simply never born at all. Either would suffice at this point.
But that was beside the point. Reze wasn’t stupid. So she could tell when something's wrong.
Her being in an endless field of flowers was the first red flag. The second was that shes fucking dead.
Also her clothes are gone, but that was less suspicious given the fact her corpse was probably somewhere in cold storage.
