The screen is empty. The black glass reflects his own sickly expression, distorted by a faint dent at the corner of the screen.
"Let's consider the facts, Child of Man," Izanami lifts up one finger, the other palm outstretched to the sky, "First, a world molded by the wishes of mankind. Second, an inability to ever leave this town."
Izanami's eyes illuminate in opalescent red. Yu is, inextricably, struck again by the pounding headache of static and fog. The air goes heavy.
"Who would wish for such a thing?"

Summary
For the winter final of Garreg Mach University's world history class, Professor Byleth chooses to assign group projects rather than a final exam. This unknowingly sets off a chain of events that lead to a break-in of the nation's oldest museum, the theft of ancient artifacts, the unraveling of a long-forgotten history of Fódlan, and the closure of Garreg Mach's favorite bubble tea shop.
But, mostly, Claude, Edelgard, and Dimitri just wish they didn't have assigned groups.

"Ah, he's right! We probably should start at the beginning," The boy agrees, mercifully. He lifts one hand up in a semi-apologetic gesture, not breaking his smile, "My name is Ryoji Mochizuki - or Death! But I prefer Ryoji."
The girl rolls her eyes, "Marie - Izanami. Whatever."
Mochizuki and Marie stare expectantly as Maruki gapes open-mouthed at the two lackadaisical teenagers sitting across from him.
"...Wait, are you two...?" Maruki pauses amidst his own conclusion, hardly believing where his train of thought has led him, "...no."
Takuto Maruki faces divine retribution in the form of two teenagers. Ryoji Mochizuki and Marie have some words to share with the man who tried to rewrite reality.

Summary
Sadayo Kawakami doesn't pay much mind to the nervous-faced man who wears a lab coat and drains apple juice cartons like most adults inhale coffee. Takuto Maruki is weird, sure, but Shujin is weird. The students are weird. Hell, Sadayo is weird, even if she pretends otherwise.
He'll be gone by the end of year, anyway. She has other things to worry about.
Kawakami and Maruki's brief, mostly awkward stint as coworkers and something that could be called acquaintanceship. What good are teachers if they don't believe in their students?

Tiki smiles, "You are more like...” She pauses, musing through her memories to find a familiar face, only… "ah, I suppose there are none like you, now I think of it."
Say'ri doesn't seem to know how to respond, even though Tiki was just stating the obvious. Yes, the more Tiki searches for a familiar feeling in the winding, seemingly endless path of her history, the more apparent it becomes. In her eons of existence, there really are none like Say'ri.
There will always be noble princes and princesses and tacticians who stand to their side, their stalwart blades and kindhearted companions, ravenous warlords and self-righteous conquerors, but none have made her heart feel such a way.
"That… is a compliment, my lady?"
"Perhaps it is,” She teases, simply.
