There were difficulties between them; Harry would be a fool to deny that even though he was willing to put them aside. He simply wanted to love Eggsy as well as he could for as long as he could. That seemed like it was worth the occasional hiccup. And indeed, no reason they might not be good together seemed like much more than a hiccup to Harry- except one: if Eggsy really didn’t see him that way and never could.
But that was one thing Eggsy hadn’t said. He had said he wasn’t sure, many times, and while that wasn’t a yes it wasn’t a no either. So the question was: were those difficulties enough, for Eggsy, to prevent him from ever feeling the way Harry did? Or had they only kept him from seeing an affection that was actually already there- or could be, with a little tending?
Winning over Eggsy can't possibly be the hardest thing Harry has ever had to do.

Harry offered the first figure that came into his head. Judging from the way the boy's eyes widened, it was far too high.
He said, “I know a place,” a little too quickly. “Let me just…” He took out his phone and fired off several texts in quick succession. “One of my stepdad’s mates works in a- a hotel real close to here.” From his stutter, Harry guessed that it wasn’t a very high class establishment- but then if Harry had wanted high class he would have sought it out himself. Somewhere where they had seen everything, where they looked the other way without question- that was what Harry needed at the moment, and his knowledge of such areas in London was unfortunately lacking.
Harry just needs somewhere to lay low and patch himself up. He isn't expecting to meet someone who fascinates him, or to run into that someone again and again.

"Harry--"Eggsy breaks off, because, god, Harry's here! He's alive, breathing, beautiful, and he's got Eggsy crushed in his arms and Eggsy can feel his mouth tingling from the roughness of his kiss.
Then Harry pulls back; more-so he shoves Eggsy away. He keeps him pinned to the wall, at arms length, and Eggsy is pleased to see Harry is panting, stray chocolate hairs fallen out of place. The action, however, makes his blood feel cold, and he stares up at Harry in confusion, expecting something more. But Harry makes no move to close the space between them again.
When Harry speaks, finally, it's low and deadly and it fucking hurts.
"Forget that ever happened.".
