It all started because Laurence had come into the sitting room when Granby was visiting Tharkay’s estate, mildly cross and holding Tharkay’s greatcoat, which was rumpled from lying in a damp heap in the entryway for two whole days before Laurence noticed it. He had entered the room while shaking it out and folding it, as such a fine piece of clothing deserved, and saying something chiding, along the lines of, “Tenzing, did you never learn you must care for your things if you wish for them to last--?”
“Ah,” Tharkay said, slouching in his practiced way and tilting his sly smile at Granby, “here’s the missus.”

Summary
After the events of War Crimes, Sokka and Zuko have escaped Zhao’s warship and are fleeing across the Earth Kingdom. As well as unfamiliar terrain, they have to navigate their shared trauma, work out where they fit into the war, and their place in each others lives.
Sokka is aware that being friends with the enemy is going to bring complications, but he probably should have guessed that being friends with Zuko in particular, was going to be a bit like dunking your head repeatedly into a bucket of angry Fire Ferrets.
Katara is also grappling with the confusion of befriending an enemy, something that doesn’t prove as difficult as she had expected with the bond of shared, furious grief bridging old wounds. (Learning a new way to look at her bending doesn't hurt either)
Azula, struggling with the Fire Lord’s mistrust, encounters a few nasty surprises and has to make some difficult decisions. Luckily, she is a great deal better at making sensible choices than her brother.
Her father may have made a slight tactical error.

Summary
An AU where Tim was imprisoned by Black Mask for most of his adolescence, trained to be his successor. His reintroduction to Gotham - and to Gotham's vigilantes - could go a little smoother. At least enough of his morality sticks around that he can probably consider himself safe from being a supervillain.
Though he isn't quite sure he qualifies for "superhero," either.

I need to reread this, if I’m being real. It’s fucking good. There’s recursive fics of this that are also fucking good. This is one of those Self Insert fics that are massive but like…fucking good the entire time. How u do that??? Anyway, it’s able to be this massive because Silver Queen goes over all of canon plus like a lot of the filler episodes and movies from the anime. PRAISE BE.

It's useless, everyone decides, even his own mother. He doesn't though, he will use it to become a hero! Even if it takes a little guidance, thinking and strategising.
Luckily, he makes friends and has guidance from mentors who will help him reach his potential. It will just be a long journey, but he can manage - he always does.
